The Louisiana State Legislature Has Some Fun With Bp CEO Tony Hayward

The Advocate has it here. LOL

The state Senate briefly entertained a proposal Friday for BP CEO Tony Hayward to play the part of a slain British general in a re-enactment of the Battle of New Orleans.
State Sen. Dan Claitor offered an amendment to House Bill 1287 to extend the invitation to Hayward, who is in the hot seat following the April 20 explosion of the Deepwater Horizon rig in the Gulf of Mexico.
HB1287 would create a commission to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of New Orleans.
Hayward would play Gen. Edward Pakenham, who died during the battle after supposedly uttering the words “lost for the lack of courage.”Claitor, R-Baton Rouge, quickly withdrew the amendment.
