Catholics and Protestants Talking About Gulf Oil Spill Being God's Judgment!!!

Color me skeptical. We see it from a major Evangelical magazine to to even Catholics .

God is punishing us for polluting the earth etc etc etc. What seems to be missed is these rigs out there(That Obama wants to shut down for 6 months!!) are not just pumping bad black crude but they are also pumping a huge part of our natural gas which is a pretty clean fuel!!! So is God Against Natural Gas Too!!!

I suspect if there was another Three Mile Island incident we would be hearing God's punishment stuff too!! Which seems rather counterproductive if you want on the whole a cleaner environment.

I think what we did to the whales in order to supply this country with fuel for decades was far worse than what we are doing in the GULF.

This is tragic and yes I am not saying people should not be held accountable and there should not be reform . But to imply that the Louisiana oil Industry and everyone involved in it is involved in some great evil that GOD is now showing his displeasure with is I think to stretch it a tad.
