I am now going to stop posting so much on this as we enter Holy Week unless something groundbreaking occurs. Which it might. Not saying I am going to ZERO POSTS on this issue the next week but they will be much less in number.
It is time to start entering into the most important week of the year.
However John Allen , whose is regarded as one of the best American Vatican reporters around ,has a very good piece that I think is very fair and informative. See Keeping the record straight on Benedict and the crisis
For now unless there is some new explosion on this next week posts will be very few on this subject till after Easter.
I find it odd that Chris Hitchens and other Catholic bashers are clamoring that the office formerly known as the Inquisition should have been more forceful in rooting out abusing priests. It just sounds weird coming from them.
ReplyDeleteIt is ironic. It is also strange that the loudest voices that are complaining are the ones that complained about the Vatican having too much power.
ReplyDeleteThe end result of this will be of course that the Vatican is going to be directly involved in all of this and very much more in the affairs of everyone's Diocese which should I guess have been done a long time ago.
I am hoping the same voices that are demanding this will starting sending the money to the Holy See( that runs often runs a Deficit) because all this is going to be expensive to do.
Thanks for a link that provides some rational information.
