Pro-life Democrats Feel Lonely In their Party

This Is a Scandal of the Democratic Party [Kathryn Jean Lopez]
One that the late Governor Casey knew too well.
More from that Times piece:

Mr. Stupak says his stand is a straightforward matter of Roman Catholic faith, but it also seems like the result of a long, slow burn. As dinner progressed, the congressman described years of feeling ignored, slighted or marginalized by his party for his anti-abortion views.
“We’re members without a party,” he said. “Democrats are mad at you, and Republicans don’t trust you.”

I am sure some progressives Catholics will somehow try to blame card carrying Republicans for this state of affairs. Their solution is it appears you should be democrats and agree with us on the rest of the issues we disagree about so the democrat party can be pro-life!!

I have a better idea. Why don't pro-life democrats take back their party. Going to local and state democrat party meetings would be a good start. Passing resolutions and getting your people in power would be a good start. Right now the whole process in the Democrat party is to make sure PRO-LIFE democrats have limited power as to this issue. That is not going to change unless pro-life democrats force the party to change. That can happen but it will not occur over night. There are good groups that are attempting to do this. Get involved
