Why is Senator Reid So Hell Bent on A Chrsitams Eve Vote on Health Care

That is what I am seeing all over the place. I don't think Americans want to see this on Christmas Eve. ? I understand sort of what is he doing. Now he has to worry about Liberal Senators going home and getting a earful from their base.

Plus what about the human factor in the Capitol itself. I imagine those Senators, their young staffers that don't get paid squat, all the journalists, the cameramen, the extra Capitol Hill police, and the various other workers are not going to be happy about this. It seems like a perfect situation to where tempers are flaring and things come apart because people are angry.

I mean why not just come back 4 days after Christmas. I know the GOP is pushing this along too but it would seem Reid would have the sense to say ok lets start like on the Dec 29th. Is the deal that insecure? What is two weeks?
