Randy Rosetta's Confusing Article on LSU/ Washington Game

As I noted yesterday in my post Attention LSU Idiots- Post Washington Game Post(Updated) there is a need for improvement. Still it is kinda of annoying that comments that Les made post game are being taken out of context.

Rosetta is a good and fair writer for the Advocate and so I chalk up the following to Jet Lag.

Commenting on the Miles quote:
“They got our players in good position to make tackles and they improved as the game went on. A lot of the night, we ran the Tiger defense that I want to see.” Huh? On a tight deadline when any quote from the coach is coveted, that was one I couldn’t, in good conscience, bring myself to weave into the game story. While it’s fully understandable Miles wants to be positive with his team, to classify Saturday’s defensive performance as something he wants to see is a major stretch.

The Bolding is mine.

Yet Rosetta later on validates Miles point which I think is true and is recognized by many fans.

Rosetta states:
More importantly, there were some signs of progress, most notably the defense making a big play that resulted in points and coming up with another turnover when Washington was knocking on the door. Likewise, the defense adjusted fairly well for most of the second half before punching a hole in any optimistic carryover with UW’s final drive of the game.

Hmm isn't that what Miles is talking about?
