James, first of all belated congrats for your beloved Tigers and their victory over the Longhorns in the CWS.
As for the article, did you ever read the one about the curia from Wiegel which went into even further detail in terms of the Holy Father's difficulties within the Vatican....
There seems to be a thread about him being a non confrontational type leader and having surrounded himself with certain people with their own agendas like Cardinal Bertone, whose one of his first acts was going to Cuba and playing footsie with Raul Castro???
Pope John Paul II ran a tighter run ship...although he too had his internal difficulties.
