Frank Schaeffer Still Has Dad Issues and Now Defaming Pro-Lifers- Catholics Discuss

Frank Schaeffer is the son of the noted evangelical mind Francis Schaeffer. Like many evangelical minds of Francis Schaeffer's quality (the dad)I only really started to notice them after I became Catholic.

Frank Schaeffer(the son) for the record is now an Eastern Orthodox Christian. He is in my view to say the least a tad eccentric to put it a polite way.

Well he has a piece out today where he claims (and claims on perhaps of his deceased dad ) responsibility for the abortionist Tiller murder. See We who sowed hate share blame in killing of abortion doctor. To be honest I wonder if this is not more LOOK AT ME than claiming responsibility. It is the same ole drivel of supposed hateful pro-life rhetoric.

I thought the Catholic contributor at Crunchy Con tackled this quite nicely at A secular nation is not a moral vacuum (Erin). A very good read.

However a contributor at the catholic blog Vox Nova and it appears many commenters seem to be in the amen corner. See Frank Schaeffer Blasts Extremist Language. I comment under the name "jh" where I basically say this is a bunch of poppycock.

But American Catholic has paid us a service by again noting that Frank Schaeffer is an to put it nicely again eccentric or to be more blunt perhaps just wildly lying and defaming. See Did Francis Schaeffer advocate the “violent overthrow” of the U.S. government?.

The Contributor at American Catholic also points out he had to refute Schaeffers claims once before int he comment section of Vox Nova at this March 2008 piece Frank Schaeffer Decries Double Standard

That Shaeffer article that is quoted in full in 2008 is worth looking out and comparing to the screed he wrote today

Yes that is the same Clinton that is Obama 's Sec of State. Who knew Obama put in his Cabinet and in fact in one of the most important positions in the U.S. Government a person behind the "hate machine".

The piece today

Regardless, the same hate machine I was part of is still attacking all abortionists as "murderers." And today, once again, the "pro-life" leaders are busy ducking their personal responsibility for people acting on their words. The people who stir up the fringe never take responsibility. But I'd like to say that I, and the people I worked with in the pro-life movement, all contributed to this killing by our foolish and incendiary words.

Wow so many hate machines!!! One gets a sense that anything is a hate machine that dares disagrees strong with the Frank Schaeffer. I think it is apparent who is throwing "incendiary" words around.
