LSU Baseball Beats the Hogs - Next Up the Florida Gators
Pretty huge weekend for LSU and the SEC as a whole as we racing toward the end of regular season play. Actually it was a significant week for Louisiana baseball period including a storyline that is being missed. That is how Louisiana Tech swept Hawaii. More on that in another post.
Across the SEC weather played havoc with the schedule and the LSU, Arkansas game was not exception. Friday's game had to be canceled. So there was a double header that started at 5 pm on Saturday with the rubber game being played on Sunday.
Needless to say the first game was an epic disaster for LSU. Our stud pitcher Anthony Ranaudo could not find a strike zone to save his life. HE did managed to find a couple of players though and one had to be taken out of the game after getting struck. Anthony perhaps thought he was the nightmare of his life where it which its zenith in a horrific 4 inning. End Result LSU gets beat by 7 runs!! Less than a hour later Coleman steps up to the mound and gave one of the best pitching performances he has done. LSU beats Arky by 5 to ZIP.
The rubber game on Sunday showed a improving Austin Ross and then Jones and Ott closed it out in a nail biter., LSU beats Arkansas 5 to 4. All this occurring in the most miserable weather conditions
