It really is. We had a similar case but not in a poltical matter where I live with a guy that was claiming all this. He was ill too but it is amazing how mentally ill people can pull it off at times
I've had many a tangle with the IVAW though out the Blogosphere. I recommend looking up the blog "This Ain't Hell..." for a complete run down on the break down of the IVAW, as the political tools backing them, and the non-Iraq Veterans within push out the actual OIF Veterans (who are the only ones really qualified to carry the actual title Iraq Veterans against the war). In fact, there are some real, heartfelt Patriotic OIF veterans who for various reasons are opposed to the war in Iraq who frankly are sick of the IVAW and quit quite public ally, or refuse to join because of 'Rick Duncan' and Jesse MacBeth.
The good thing is, this might be a death blow to any credibility IVAW might have developed with the help of the FEW who actually served in Iraq. The good thing is, this might spell the end of IVAW (one can hope). An even better thing, the organization is splitting to pieces over these issues, and what might emerge, is an actual veterans group of actual veterans who verify for absolutely certain that each member was a veteran from Iraq who patriotically oppose the war in Iraq (without all the flag burning, socialist/communist backing that the IVAW currently has from Vets for Peace and the International Socialist Organization).
Should such an organization develop, I'd respect them. I have no respect for IVAW. I do have a good friend, and real OIF vet, who joined up a few years back. I'm sure he has quit or rattled some cages since. While I'd disagree with them, I'd respect them if they were all OIF vets like myself who are thoughtfully, and respectfully opposing the war (something IVAW has FAILED to do completely).
This is sad.

ReplyDeleteFunny how the MSM managed to dig up all sorts of info about Joe the Plumber, but didn't bother to do a background check on this guy?
ReplyDeleteNah, the media's not biased at all.
(By the way, he word verification for this post is "sorooss". I bet he's the one who footed the bill for this fraud.)
