The amazing tragic news here at Drilling Ban Could Affect Louisiana Economy
The headline comes no way close to showing the devastation this will cause.
Former state senator Craig Romero says shutting down drilling is a threat to the economy in Louisiana as it relates to oil and gas.
"It's a sad day, says Romero. "The economy in Louisiana is slowing down just like the rest of the country. But this is going to be the nail in the coffin. It's really going to hurt Lafayette and the surrounding areas."
Losers-
The Louisiana Economy to say the least
The Environment- These leases were critical for added tax revenue to combat the most serious environmental crisis in the USA. That is Coastal erosion.
Louisiana Cajun ,French, and Creole Culture- Well I guess more parents from South Louisiana will find their children moving to Houston and Dallas and Atlanta.
The Nation-Wait till the next energy crisis starts.
