Dr Francis Beckwith came back to his Catholic Faith not too long ago. He is one of the biggie "reverts" in the United States. He held and still holds a pretty prominent position at Baylor University (which is the Baptist Version of Notre Dame). He was widely respected and still is in Evangelical circles. However there was needless to say controversy about his conversion.
He has recently written a book that has just been released Return to Rome: Confessions of an Evangelical Catholic (Brazos Press, 2009). I am anxious to see the interaction with it by his colleagues both in Catholic and Evangelical circles. I suspect there will be quite a bit.
Anyway he has an article today relating to this at Inside Catholic called Evangelical and Catholic .
That is pretty good. He also blogs which is a nice thing. He recently wrote as to some of the reviews of his book at Another review. Not so nice. and First Review of Return to Rome.
He is currently a visiting Prof at Notre Dame but you can catch him blogging on a regular basis at Southern Appeal , What’s Wrong With the World and Return to Rome.
Like I said I think the interaction among different Crhsitian Fatth Communities about his book will be beneficial to all
