I mentioned in the post below I really liked the New York Times article on Gov Palin and her faith. It was fair, balanced and illuminating. GO see In Palin’s Life and Politics, Goal to Follow God’s Will
The Deacon Bench noted this article here at Seeing Sarah Palin as Esther: "God has given her the opportunity serve"
What interested me though was that he linked to discussion of Catholic Baptism (or Re Baptism) of adult Catholic converts done to "Converts" See his link to a America blog entry Sarah Palin and Adult Baptism
Like the author of this piece I was a Southern Baptist. I was never aware that the re baptism or (conditional Re baptism happened as to Baptist". The main thing the Church was concerned about seemed to be
(1) Were you Baptized
(2) Was it proper form and matter (ESPECIALLY FATHER, SON, and HOLY SPIRIT)
This is one reason why some Pentecostals and other that get baptized in the "Name of Jesus Christ: have to be Baptized again
However I did not know there was this attiude toward others not that too long ago
I recently got this book on the New Vatican II Rite of Baptism. It seems that the New Modernist Rite is null and void, and thus all people baptized need re-baptism conditionally, this would include Sarah Palin I'm afraid. No one is validly baptized in a invalid or dubious rite, and if Sarah Palin received that, she cannot be counted as a Christian. I'm sorry to say this, but it is true. If you don't believe read the book PRAXIS OBNOXIA:

Anyone who believes that Catholic baptisms are invalid exclude themselves from the body of Christ. Palin is not a Christian because she was rebaptized. She rejected the covanant God through the One True Church.
ReplyDeleteAlso, any anti-church "new orthodoxy" people like the SSPX or the sede "vacant stare" vacantist who believe 100% valid Catholic baptisms to be invalid, say goodbye to the efficacy of your sacrements. Your priest are then about as valid as the heretic queen of england performing mass.
Anonymous... I dont get what you are saying... most so-called sedevacantists were baptized and ordained in pre-Vatican II rites only in Latin according to strict Tridentine rubrics.
ReplyDeleteSo what's your point?
