Celebrating the Bad Boy In Every Catholic or Baptist Guy- Rockin to AC DC

I must say the very good Southern Appeal went up even more in my book with their post FORGET ABOUT TRIVIAL MATTERS LIKE THE ELECTION OR THE RUSSIAN INVASION OF GEORGIA. REAL HISTORY WILL BE MADE IN OCTOBER.

On 20 October AC/DC will release Black Rain, their first album in eight years!!!

As Southern Appeal puts so well:

Rock music is supposed to appeal to the more primitive aspect of our nature. Otherwise, why have screaming guitars and a driving beat? REAL rock music is about hot chicks, getting loaded, and kicking a_ _. If the vikings had a soundtrack it would have consisted of rock music written and performed by AC/DC.
However, the true genius of AC/DC is not simply because they have never forgotten what rock is really about, but rather that they have couched this understanding in a hard rock sound that has remained faithful to the rhythm & blues origins of rock music itself. When you listen to AC/DC you can still hear the influences of such rock pioneers as Chuck Berry.
Other people may prefer pop music performed by boy band arteests oozing emotion and pedaling pabulum churched up as a “social message.” For my money I want the blue collar, booze soaked rock of AC/DC
.

I suppose there must be some big contradiction I must face here but I really want to go ROCK ON!!

I can recall the in my youth the "jambox" and us guys in parachute pants on the school bus- the Baptist, the guys and girls that walked the aisle and got saved, the Methodists and the one Catholic there rocking out to Girls Rock your boys .

I had a moment the other day when RATT came on and I am transported to when I was 15 , having just bought Bartle and James Wine Coolers, (it was a different era back then when parents did not get upset about that sort of thing in Louisiana) going down the road in the backseat with a girl I had a crush on singing ROUND AND ROUND. Is Circus Magazine still around?

I highly suspect two of my good friends that have become Baptist Ministers via the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In New Orleans have similar moments their car when they are alone.

Back then we had actual concerts. You know put 5 guys in the car and go the Hirsh in Shreveport orthe Cajundome in Lafayette and of course you are all bragging about meeting all these hot girls and of course that never happened. DO concerts like this happen today like in the days of AC DC , Poison, Motleyy Crue? All I see is a lame abbreviated acts at the Casinos?
