Can Christians Lose Their Salvation?

I must say this was one of the crucial issue that started my path to ROME. I guess I started thinking about this issue at a age not unlike many others. That is my late teenage years when was is starting to think about faith. In the land of yearly revivals and the religion soaked South where one has friends that got "saved" you are bound to think about it. In fact you must think about!! There is no escaping it if one is serious about Faith.

I suppose what got me doubting the Southern Baptist Faith I was raised in more than anything was first grappling with this issue. First there was a shock that parts of the Bible seemed to very go much against this viewpoint of onece saved always saved!!! Then there was the realiziation that the early Christians did not have anything close to this view at all. Once Saved Always Saved is sort of a crucial doctrine in the Southern Church and once I felt that was in error I knew I had to go elsewhere. But where? Well that is another story but I suppose looking at my blog we know where I ended up in the end

Anyway The Black Cordelias has a small Apologetic Scripture post on this at Can We Lose Our Salvation? Also see his related post Are We Saved By Faith Alone?
