Noted Catholic Revert Francis Beckwith Has His New Book Out- Return to Rome: Confessions of an Evangelical Catholic.

I suspect this Catholic Book will get more buzz than usual. There have been so many Catholic Apologetic book as well as Coming Home to Rome books since the late 80's that they are noticed as much anymore.

This one shall get some buzz and no doubt will be looked at intensely within the Evangelical Community. This is should be a must buy.
Dr Francis J. "Frank" Beckwith an American Christian (now Catholic)philosopher. He has a graduate degree in law, and is well known in Evangelical Protestant Christianity circles. He is often wrongly labeled a Convert but is really a REVERT. He has a entry on his book here at Las Vegas Catholic Church Stained Glass Window

His coming back to the Catholic Faith of his Youth was not pain free. Unlike other Catholic Converts that were in the evangelical and protestant fold that are sadly accused to converting to perhaps draw attention to themselves Dr Beckwith cannot be tarnished with that brush.

His Wilki page strangely treats public his return to the Roman Catholic Church which took place in late April 2007, and resignation as President of the Evangelical Theological Society as a footnote.
It was much discussed and in fact the effects as to the Evangelical Theological Society as to how they would dictate further membership was significant. It was a debate I followed for some time.
He is on the faculty of Baylor,In 2008-09 he is serving on the faculty of the University of Notre Dame as the Mary Ann Remick Senior Visiting Fellow in Notre Dame's Center for Ethics & Culture

He also blesses us with blogging a good bit What’s Wrong with the World with making appearances also at Southern Appeal.

The critique of it by his Evangelical and Protestant Peers should be a good one to watch.

Thank you for your kind words. I am deeply appreciative of them.

I do want to say that the book does not come out until November. But it can be pre-ordered via amazon.com or through the publisher, Brazos Press.

Again, thank you for your generous sentiments.

    Take care,
    Frank
