Obama Disappoints me Twice in One Day (Pulls Race Card and More)

So what you say you are a McCain supporter. Well, I still expect people running for the highest office in the land to act a certain way. Especially when they are U.S. Senators!!!

I kinda of took The Anchoress post with a grain of salt last week in her post The Presumptions of Obama - UPDATED.

I guess the above picture of Changing the Great Seal of the President of the United States for a Campaign prop gets me. In the end I think traditions and certain symbols of our nation should be respected. We read:

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., speaks during a meeting of Democratic Governors at the Chicago History Museum in Chicago Friday, June 20, 2008. A new seal debuted on Obama's podium Friday, sporting iconography used in the U.S. presidential seal, the blue background, the eagle clutching arrows on left and olive branch on right, but with symbolic differences. Instead of the Latin 'E pluribus unum' (Out of many, one), Obama's says 'Vero possumus', rough Latin for 'Yes, we can.' Instead of 'Seal of the President of the United States', Obama's Web site address is listed. And instead of a shield, Obama's eagle wears his 'O' campaign logo with a rising sun representing hope ahead.

Disgusting.

However it gets worse. we read that Obama said yesterday:

Obama says Republicans will use race to stoke fear

Obama said in part:

JACKSONVILLE, Florida (Reuters) - Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama said on Friday he expects Republicans to highlight the fact that he is black as part of an effort to make voters afraid of him.

"It is going to be very difficult for Republicans to run on their stewardship of the economy or their outstanding foreign policy," Obama told a fundraiser in Jacksonville, Florida. "We know what kind of campaign they're going to run. They're going to try to make you afraid.
"They're going to try to make you afraid of me. He's young and inexperienced and he's got a funny name. And did I mention he's black?"
He said he was also set for Republicans to say "he's got a feisty wife," in trying to attack his wife Michelle.
"We know the strategy because they've already shown their cards. Ultimately I think the American recognize that old stuff hasn't moved us forward. That old stuff just divides us," he said........

Sad but it appears the tone has been set by the Obama camapign from the highest levels. Yeah this is really the New Politics Isn't it (Sarc)

Update the Anchoress has more at Obama, the 527 lie (oh, and racism!) Amon other she links she quotes a respected blogger that said:

Obama seems content to issue lies and smears in order to inflame the electorate. There is more than a little hint of McCarthyism in this tactic. Joe McCarthy waved pieces of paper around and claimed to have lists of Communists in government that he never substantiated. Obama likes to accuse Republicans of racism without any proof, either, while apparently discounting the real race-card playing in his own party.
If he has proof that the Republican Party and/or John McCain plan racist attacks on him, let him show it. If he doesn’t, then Obama is guilty of his own racial pandering and should apologize
.

Amen to that
