Louisiana Catholic Blog Update For May 5th

Time to look at what the Louisiana Catholic Blogs are posting since we last checked in on Saturday morning.

Taking back the Sacred who is our new edition to the Louisiana blog roll has a good post here I might try to engage later. That is Globalizing the Common Good . He is referencing a meeting at the Vatican that caught my eye this weekend. Also see Down Under Bishops Address Internet Concerns

Alive and Young has another edition of Not Said By Jesus Sunday and Adventure in Catechesis #8

Apprentice of St. Joseph has Sunday Scripture: "I Pray for Them"

Ville Platte Catholic Youth Group has The Ascension of the Lord. I really recommend that post because it gives a great overview of the Feast and what it means and has a ton of links!!!

From The Recamier has her daily update from yesterday here. As usual she hits on a lot from the Ascension, to yesterday being stars wars day, to a nice rundown on Isaac Barrow among many other things

Cajun Cottage Under the Oaks has This Side of Heaven. That post reminds me of the first time I went to funeral as a young child. If I recall my parents did not really prepare well for it. I wonder if that is one of those critical things parents should do that is right up there with the "Sex talk". Who knows if perhaps kids and later in their adulthood become a tad traumatized over death because things like this were not handled right. Whatever right is. This post is pretty cool Prepare Yourself. Also see Picnic #3. In case your wondering Opinionated Catholic is not a picnic person :)

Life on the (L)edge has Gee, but it's great to be back home... again...

Thoughts & Ruminations of Father Ryan has Great Post from Jeff over at the Curt Jester on the state of the union of the 'left'. Oh and Father Ryan if you are Reading I am just thrilled with a Capital T that you have permalinks now :) Just like your fellow Priest Blogger at Thy Nose to the Marble. whom sadly did not update since i last looked in :(

Anyway go see his other funny/"cute" entry here where you can see Father Ryan's new pet a FLYING possum!!! Even Orthodox Priests are strange birds as we see :)

Maudie in Mandeville is her usual blunt self at Proud to be Episcopal? and von Boeselager was a murdering thug

A Number of Things has Bottled Hospitality

Fr. Victor Brown’s Catholic Daily Message has his mediation for the day here at Feast of Saint Angelo (5 May 2008)

Be sure to check out Louisiana's own The Brown Pelican Society that has as usual a ton of must see links today.
I have time so I can post his great abundance of must see stuff as to each individual link. Be sure to check what he else he has been posting the last few days
