What is the Ressourcement movement?

This is a term ones hears alot in Catholic circles and by Pope Benedict and in Catholic publications. Sometimes I think this has had a much more profound affect in Europe than here(United States) as to the common lay folk. I often hear this term and it ideas among Communion and Liberation folks. A movement that seems for whatever reason hard for the common lay person here to connect too.
