One other quick Sports related item before I head out to Mass.
I have not decided if this is good or bad. I was not thrilled with the idea when he was announced the new AD and their appears to be some split in the fan base. The question is can he handle it? Will it succeed? Will there be tension between the football program and other sports programs at Tech?
I am slightly warming to the idea as I see what the Tech administration has in mind. If Dooley can still take care of business on the field it should be great.
The marketing of the Louisiana Tech name and the related issues of the Revenue stream are in many ways connected to the future success to the football program as a whole.

USL did this for Nelson Stokely in the 90's to get him more money. Thus began a decline that persists to this day. There was a time when such arrangements could work. In today's world of highly competetive college sports it's just too much for one man. I don't mind though because it's La Tech.

The USL example if a good one. I ahd a lot of friends down there back in college and remember going to quite a few USL games. THey had quite a team and a team that was on the upward swing. Then something happened and never could figure out what
