Louisiana Catholic Blogger Update for February 8th

Ok here we go. Here is the Louisiana Catholic Blogger update for today. As usual I am trying to get this "daily" again so we are catching up on some posts from the past week. Oh and something is wrong with blogger still. My spell check is still not working so sorry!!!

Catholic Tube - Video Blog has the following vids up. First go to 1st Week of Lent - Stations of the Cross. The description is " short 6 minute video to lead you in praying the stations of the cross." I was speaking in a earlier blog post about how passing down Catholicism was much more than CCD class. I still know Catholic families that make Holy Water a part of their life. Go see this cool looking vid The Power of Holy Water. One of my favortie apologist here is interviewed. Go see Jeff Cavins Interview. Lent has started but it is not too late to see this vid Advice Before Lent.

From The Recamier has her update here. She starts out by wishing us Happy New Year. It is the Year of the Rat / Mouse in China, Vietnam, and other assorted Asian cultures. She has a lot of history including reminding us that the The Big New Madrid Earthquake happened on this date. By the way remember when that scientist back in the 90's I think said the New Madrid was going to go off. Everythone in Missouri, North Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas , and Tenn was buying Earthquake insurance!! My Grandmother canceled a doctors appointment to Memphis for the date it was predicted to happen. She has a lot more fun stuff so check her out.

Letting a Little One Lead Me is nice post by Footprints on the Fridge.

Dei Gratia has a reminder that the horrors of Clergy abuse is not just a Catholic thing at if he had been Catholic this would be completely different. I also like his post here and so Lent begins… which has a link to his on Lenten Calculations and Misconceptions.

The Catholic Underground has their Louisiana Catholic podcast to the World at Life is Still Worth Living, Ep 3, The Mystery of History The description is "This week, The Mystery of History and Time. A bit more heady and philosophical than the past… Comments Welcome." So go listen and comment!!!
