Ann Coulter Goes Off Deep End and SOuthern Baptist Politico Says Rush Needs To get Out More!!!

Good Grief. The New Republic has the vid and summary of Ann Coulters remarks. She in essence will back Clinton if McCain gets the nod. Can we say Drama Queen!!!

In other news Dr Land who is in all essence the political liaison for the Southern Baptist Convention said in the New York Times:

Richard Land, an official of the Southern Baptist Convention and a longtime critic of Mr. McCain, agreed, saying, “He is strongly pro-life.” “When I hear Rush Limbaugh say that a McCain nomination would destroy the Republican Party,” Dr. Land added, “what I want to say to Rush is, ‘You need to get out of the studio more and talk to real people.’ ”

Tony Perkins is not drinking the conservative talk radio koolaid either as we see in that same article:

“I have no residual issue with John McCain,” Mr. Perkins said, adding that the senator needed “to better communicate” his convictions on social issues. "

Mike Huckabee is out their fighting and I hope his efforts pay off. He was in Oklahoma a few hours ago. GO see this CBS news report Huckabee Continues Slamming Romney

Joe Carter who is a Huckabee Supporter at the Evangelical Outpost has his case against Romney here. For those undecided give my man Huck a good look.

Joe Carter really has a good sense of humor. He notes when Romney became a Conservative:
When Romney became a conservative he was 56 years old (4 years older than Mike Huckabee is today). The year Romney became a conservative we invaded Iraq and captured Saddam Hussein. The year Romney became a conservative Ruben Studdard won American Idol, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King won the Oscar for Best Picture, and Queer Eye for the Straight Guy premiered on Bravo. The year Romney became a conservative is the year I started this blog.
Think about that for a moment. Not only have people being reading blogs longer than Romney has been a conservative but people have been reading this blog longer than Romney has been a conservative.
Personally, I prefer to have a President who has spent a bit more time becoming familiar with conservative arguments, principles, traditions, and values. I suspect that outside of the elite pundit class, most conservatives feel the same. Romney may have been endorsed by National Review. But most conservative prefer to endorse a candidate who has actually read National Review
.

The question is why is Conservative talk radio and various publications are so out of sync with their listeners? Looking at the Southern States that will be in play on SuperTuesday Romney is running third!!! Needless to say we are not bastion of Liberalism down here. But perhaps we are to them now. I mean Mike Huckabee raises sales taxes a penny and he is a big liberal. Perhaps we are practical conservatives that don't have a problem with taxes to support things like schools and roads that produce results
