University Student In Maryland Learing "Latin Mass"- Why Not here?

Father Z had a great post and link to article about Catholic Students at the University of Maryland that are learning the Latin Mass at U. of Maryland: teaching the older Mass . Here is just a part:
Students at the Catholic Student Center are trying to infuse the present-day Mass with some customs from the past. [Does this sound like the "gravitational pull" I have been talking about?]For the past two months, students at the CSC have gathered each Wednesday before the evening Mass, or the Catholic worship service, to learn prayers and portions of the service in Latin, the formal language of the Catholic Church. During the same time period, four students learned the traditional songs and chants of the church as part of the Schola Cantorum, an all-male choir with a name that means "school of song" in Latin.The semester’s work culminated in an extra Mass celebrated Nov. 30 in Latin with music provided by the schola. Approximately 25 students attended that Mass, said the center’s chaplain, the Rev. Kyle Ingels.

The question is why not here in Louisiana? Why not in your State as to University Students. A couple of things to note here. This is at a Public University. Also I have always stated that that Universities with all their music resources and the vitality of youth are perfect places for this to be happening. Perhaps this is happening at LSU, ULL, Mcneese, South Eastern, and Nichols State just to name a few and I ma not aware? . In Louisiana I would have to imagine there would be huge interest!!
