Why Has the Tide Turned So Much In Iraq?-Updated

I think this post gives a concise and sort explanation. Itis not over yet but even the news media realizes the something big is up. Yes here are huddles ahead but the confidence I started having at the beginning of the year has not abated.

It is not time for Americans and the World to get serious again. I mean stop caring about Britney Spears for a few seconds and check in on what is happening. Tomorrow I might just run a sample of News stories that come out everyday but we don't hear about. I think people will be shocked and wonder why they are ignorant of all these things. Good Question

AJ Strata has a very interesting post called The Syrian Puppet Masters Behind al-Qaeda. I really encourage people to boomark his blog. If you take about 5 minutes to look at his daily entries you will be more informed thatn 90 percent of the American people that depend on Cable News. I thought this post is pretty good and again shows what is at stake.

Update- Take a Look at this post at Big Lizards-Gratefully Not Dead: Iraq Civilian and US Military Deaths Plummet Very illuminating.

Let me repeat something I saw yesterday at The 5 Things I Saw that Make Me Support the War
Liberals often like to say that "violence is senseless."
That’s wrong.
Violence isn't senseless. Senseless violence is senseless. And I should know. Before being awarded the Navy Cross and having the privilege of becoming a Marine, I was a gang member. Sometimes it takes having used violence for both evil as well as good to know that there's a profound moral difference between the two
.

I am sure some Catholics are freakin out that I know of. However what is saying and the context it is in is quite in line with Catholic tradition. Read the whole post.

I have seen some posts at a Catholic site that I think engages in the fallacy of the EITHER/OR as to this debate. If I have time I might engage that. Especially as to the issue of war and the military. That being said. What is happening now on the ground and the results thereof have to be facotred in by all Catholics and Christians in deciding how we proceed ahead. It might make no difference to a persons views after they have done so. But it must be consulted.
