For God, For Country, and For Yale is a Catholic blogger I try to highlight a couple of times a week. He is also a Catholic Football player for Yale. A pretty good one to boot. They are so far undefeated this year. Check out his latest post on their victory on Saturday at On Dartmouth . He of course talks more than just football. However I think his witness is important for many young men. I would love if he came to Louisiana and talked to several of our Catholic Schools and Catholic Football teams.
When Christianity and Sports are mentioned it is rarely Catholic. 99 percent of the time it is with a Evangelical focus (or Mormon which occurs any time BYU is on National TV). I always suspected that there were many devout Catholics being a witness to their faith in the locker room and on the field.
He has quotes and a link to a excellent article written by the New Haven Register. It is all about the Catholic football players at Yale. GO to his post Register on: "Football and Faith" It is a great read.
I hope people really spread this article and his site as well out in blogland and via emails. Articles like this need to get out. I am planning on writing the reporter and thanking him for this piece.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter
ReplyDeleteand said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!
