Catholic Prayer and Worship is in the Human DNA

I am really outside my field here , but I think the way Catholics worship is natural. That why we do the things we do is part of the essential human makeup. When I was becoming Catholic I heard people say why do Catholics do all this ritual. All this up and down and crossing yourself etc etc.

I think this very very interesting short article written by an American Bishop on Liturgical norms touches on that quite well. I love how he mentions examples of the Muslims and the Jews. When you think about the final book of the Bible shows a lot of worshiping with Body Language and Body Action.

Father Z has the piece as well as his great commentary at Enjoy an article by Bp. Arthur Seratelli on liturgical unity through gestures and postures . Very good read.

I think this is one reason why we are seeing such a movement by Evangelicals to Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy. Some conversions Eastern Orthodoxy is a prime example of people that have been deprived of what is natural finding absolute Nivernia
