Louisiana Catholic Blogger Roundup For Sept 4th

We Start in the Diocese of Baton Rouge

Our new ordained Priest at Thy Nose to the Marble. was out of town this weekend in Amarillo Texas. Ouch glad he flew. That is the longest drive I have ever taken from Shreveport in my life to get there. He has pics and details what he was doing here and here. One cool thing about Amarillo besides that Steak place, is that they used to make nuclear bombs there. I doubt there are tours.

The Brown Pelican Society has A series of Posts up.

First he starts out with SAINT OF THE DAY: St. Rose of Viterbo, (1233-1251). The Pelican has TODAY'S GOSPEL & MEDITATION - The Authority of Humility.

A little commentary on his first link.Bush Refuses to Deny That There is a North American Agenda. Ok, pretty soon I am going to do a whole post on this one day. I know bloggers I like and have good friends that are CONVINCED there is some North American Union plot. THERE IS NOT. So much of this hysteria is promoted by Jerome Corsi who quite frankly I find to be a loon. I know several out there will disagree with me but I have explored all facets of this. I might do a post on this later in the week. I know a tad about this because I have helped out people on the I-49 project and the I-69 project.

Bishops Recommend Health Care Directive is a link he has here. This is an interesting link and encouraging here at LAST 10 YEARS, FAITH BASED MUTUAL FUNDS GROW--$500 M TO $17 B. Here is a important post he has called Pornography's Impact on Marriage & The Family. A interesting link the Pelican has here Thomas More Law Center Representing Citizens Opposed to Islamic School Run With Taxpayer Money. In Family news the Dead Pelican has Florida Mayor Loses Seat on Tourism Board Over Alleged 'Anti-Homosexual' Remarks; Stands for Family Values. Aa interesting post and link here at Pentagon 'Stiff-Arms' Christians, Endorses Islam. Lastly The Pelican brings us this absurd news that NOW Challenges Fatherhood Programs; Says it Discriminates Against Women.

We now move to the Diocese of Lafayette.

From The Recamier of course was busy. She has the Saint of the day from yesterday Saint Gregory the Great, pope and doctor (died 604) and other great information on the historical facts of the day.

Catholic Tube has a great Vid on The procession of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Rhode Island.

Footprints on the Fridge has a post called the The A, B, Cs of Learning which has a Catholic twist.

A Number of Things has a post asking if people would be interested hosting a online toymaking fair.

We now go next door to the Diocese of Lake Charles.

Our other Catholic Home school er has called Cajun Cottage Under the Oaks has great post Add Spice to Your Children's Reading and this post Let's Keep Rockin'.

Big News as to the Latin Mass in Lake Charles. The Lake Charles Latin Mass Society has this post Latin Mass times for the Diocese.

That is it for the Louisiana Catholic update.
