I guess as a Convert I love these. I guess one these days I shall have to give mine.
Historical Christian is a great Catholic blog. She is also a "convert". Let me say technically the word "convert" is often misused. I think that if one was a Baptized Christian and then entered the Catholic faith then one is not technically called a convert. However I violate that word usage all the time myself.
ANYWHO
She has to great stories up-
I like this one Jesus in the Eucharist: a Conversion Story. I like it because what is recounted here is almost exactly what happened to me:
Looking at the altar at first I saw no one except the priest but then a sudden awareness took hold and I knew that the Host held high in the priests hands was Jesus and with that realization I also became aware of His great love for me.
It is a great story and mirrors mine to some degree.
The other wonderful Conversion story is how a person went from being a Evangelical to being a Anglican to being a Catholic. That is located here at Conversion as Christian Longing Fulfilled. There are a lot of "converts" that take this route. In fact I think several of my bloggers took the road of dipping their toe into the Thames before swimming the Tiber.
Good Stuff
