Orthodox/Traditionalist Catholics Need to Practice What They Preach

I wanted to highlight two More post that the Bob Catholic Show has today. First this short post on the proper missal for the Extraordinary form of the latin rite.

The second post though is the one that strikes me. It is called What’s in a name? and talks about what our vocabulary should be as to the different forms of the Mass. I ahve to admit I am guilty as anyone. Part of the reason is I am lazy and do not want to type out "extraordinary". Yet words are important because not using the proper words leads to confusion and maybe even error. He is right on. Here is where confusion comes in for example. I have always hated the term the "New Mass" even though I hve used it on occasion. The regular form of the mass for the Latin Rite is not "new". Its elements go back to the Apostles.

I hearby pledge and promise that Opinionated Catholic blog will do its best to use the proper language. Old habits are hard to break but we need to break this one.

Let me say I will figure out later what to do with the "tags" and "Categories" but I will use the term "latin Mass" in those for a while. Simply because I don't think a lot of just curious people are googling "extraordinary" as to the 62 missal
