For the Louisiana Folks that big ole plane in the middle is a B-52 from Barksdale Airforce in Bossier city

While the rest of the World looks the other way at a increasing belligent China, the Navy and Louisiana men and women from Barksdale are showing the devastating role aircraft have in anti-surface warfare. This is just happening after very successful excercise with the Australians in Exercise Talisman Sabre.(insert American and Aussie Flags)

USS KITTY HAWK, at sea (Aug.14, 2007) – USS Nimitz (CVN 68), USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63), and USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) carrier strike groups steam in formation during a joint photo exercise (PHOTOEX) during exercise Valiant Shield 2007 Aug.14. The aerial formation consists of aircraft from the carrier strike groups as well as Air Force aircraft from Andersen AFB, Guam. The Kitty Hawk, John C. Stennis, and Nimitz Carrier Strike Groups are participating in Valiant Shield 2007, the largest joint exercise in the Pacific this year. Held in the Guam operating area, the exercise includes 30 ships, more than 280 aircraft and more than 20,000 service members from the Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard.
