We are going to start out with the great Tradition of Tiger Baseball. The Shreveport Times has a great group of stories and all dealing with how our former Tigers Ryan Theriot and Mike Fontenot are taking Chicago by storm. If you recall they were big players in getting us the NC in 2000. Infact they were critical on the last play against Standford to bring home the National Championship for us.Here is another article entitled Roy Lang III: North, South love Theriot, but differ on 'The Riot'. Speaking of that issue , the Advocate has a big The heat is on LSU using 'old school' method to combat problems. I can't even imagine. Those days when I did anything close to that in the hot summer days is long long. Well, at least as you can tell from the pic they have pretty and well trained girls that are the angels of mercy. The article is a good read and it goes into how the heat has been dealt with in the past. Something we pray HIgh school coaches are doing.

Random Collection of Sports Thoughts is going to start blogging on LSU sports among other things. He has his first post up. GO by and encourgae him. I am slowly introducing the LSU blogs visit. I think this is an area LSU can imporve on. Say what you will about Notre Dame. But their blogs are more numerous and often more detailed. Since we are a powerhouse now we need to change that.

Dandy Don has another great post on the practices and other thoughts. By the way he thanks you for your prayers about his sister in law. Keep praying. BY the way want to meet a former LSU Tiger that was a baseball player. Well Just do like 100 down I-10 near Lake Carles and you might. Dandy reports that Former LSU first baseman Jordan Mayer has been hired by Louisiana State Police and will be stationed at Troop D in Lake Charles after he graduates from the State Police academy.
