What a wonderful event to come to if you are in Louisiana or the Ark-La-Tx region. For those out of town this would be a fun and productive overnight trip for a group in your Parish. I am a big believer in Catholics in the Louisiana area supporting each other as to events like this. Excitement in one Diocese flows over to another one. Plus, often we move to these various Diocese. Just ask all the New Orleans people in Shreveport still after hurricane Katrina. If out of towners come,a trip could be combined with the numerous Christimas light festivites or other fun activities that are in the area this time of year.
Father Mangum is a wonderful priest. Please take a good look at the whole Cathedral Schola Cantorum page for the Cathedral. I hope too see more of this wonderful pro active work through out Louisiana and the country. I am proud to see this happening in my Diocese. May God give people the grace to take advantage of it and duplicate it.
Update-
Yes, LSU fans I recognize that date is the same as the SEC Championship game in Atlanta. NO doubt we shall be playing. Rest assured, after the closing mass a party to watch our victory can be arranged .
