These politicians don't care anything about what is right or wrong, they care about what it takes to get campaign contributions, as well as what it takes to get votes. They pandered to the Religious Right as long as the demographics made that feasible, and now that this past election has demonstrated that demographics have changed, Jindal and other Republicans have indicated that they are now going to forsake their own 47% and go after the votes of Obama's 47%.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7343546954225003627.post-74474589467429833942012-11-17T21:47:49.492-06:002012-11-17T21:47:49.492-06:00In other words, Jindal is trying to do what he thi...In other words, Jindal is trying to do what he thinks is right. It's about time. When a Republican can't please anyone, he/she is doing just that - what they think is right.

SJR
The Pink FlamingoSJ Reidheadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07009929983462161529noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7343546954225003627.post-18151818001463827942012-11-17T17:53:17.459-06:002012-11-17T17:53:17.459-06:00Romney and many other Republican leaders did casti...Romney and many other Republican leaders did castigate the "legitimate rape" man, and indeed called for his withdrawal from the race. What more can anyone have done since he had won the primary? It seems that what Jindal and other Republicans are doing is a knee-jerk effort to remake the Republican party as a mirror image of the Democrats. Are they going to refuse to stand up for what is right simply because right seldom wins in the modern world? We already had Romney pandering to the feminists with his endorsement of abortion in cases of alleged rape and purported incest, in direct violation of the Republican platform of over three decades standing. This despicable compromise did not get him any votes, or certainly not enough votes to matter. Far more honorable to stand firm on what is right, even if those who are wrong win the election.
