Houston Chronicle Talks Catholics and the Internet (Louisiana Catholics Mentioned)

Great article here Catholics take to the Net

In it we see:

.............More evidence that the Catholic church is beginning to skew to the Net: Houston will host the first CatholiCon next summer, gathering hundreds of iPhone-toting priests, avid Catholic bloggers and church tech gurus to talk about how to communicate the gospel message online.

The three-day expo, meant to train both clergy and laity on how to use digital media for evangelization, is sponsored by Catholic Underground, a group of four men who met in seminary in Louisiana and decided to podcast their everyday discussions about the church. Two are priests, Father Chris Decker and Father Ryan Humphries, and two are lay Catholics, Daniel Kedinger and Joshua LeBlanc.

"It recognizes the fact that you can have lay people who know a lot about the church," said LeBlanc, "and we try to show that yes, priests do this sort of stuff, they listen to podcasts. We try to bridge that gap."...............

Whoa!!! Louisiana Catholics in the House right there a paragraph below mention of the Godfather of Catholic blogs himself Rocco Palmo of Whispers in the Loggia!!

The Louisiana Catholic based CU website that is mentioned is here.
