Update-KARNEL HATCHER HAS NOT GIVEN VERBAL TO LSU

Well despite what you may be reading in Louisiana Papers this morning , Football Stud Karnell Hatcher has not given a verbal commitment to LSU. DARNNNNNNNNN!!! I did not intend to do a another LSU post so early but this breaking on the Florida papers now. Lets hope we can still get the kid and he just wants to make his trips. Let me say I do have some convincing evidence that is indeed the case. However we shall just let that go unpublished on this dear ole blog for now. So Karnel go to South Carolina, and Miami , and Auburn and have fun. We have the spot waiting for you when you wish to do it officially.

No decision on LSU for Hatcher

DELRAY BEACH — Atlantic safety Karnell Hatcher visited LSU during the weekend but hasn't picked a school despite reports that he committed to the Tigers.
"I know LSU is my top school," Hatcher said. "I was considering them very hard, but I wasn't going to commit. I was just going to enjoy my recruiting, this time in my life.

Atlantic coach Andre Thaddies said he received a phone call Sunday from LSU assistant coach D.J. McCarthy, a childhood friend and Boca Raton High graduate, thanking him for delivering Hatcher.
"We're lucky to have a kid like that," Thaddies said McCarthy told him. "We're lucky he committed. We're glad he's going to be at LSU."
Thaddies then told The Palm Beach Post that Hatcher had committed to LSU, and the newspaper posted the story on its Web site. It wasn't until Monday's practice that Thaddies learned Hatcher didn't commit.
Hatcher thinks the confusion may stem from his meeting with the coaching staff when it formally offered him a scholarship.
"I smiled and shook their hands, and they were like, 'You're a Tiger now,' " Hatcher said. "But I didn't think it was that serious - that it would become public."
Hatcher said he thinks LSU coaches told some recruiting outlets that he committed. He said he planned to call the LSU coaches and the coaches from other schools recruiting him after Monday's practice to clear up any confusion.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Hatcher, a two-time Post All-Area selection and a pre-season Super 11 selection this year, has made only one other official visit - to Michigan.
He plans to make trips to South Carolina, Georgia and Auburn. Hatcher is also considering Miami.
Ranked as the fifth-best safety prospect and the 75th best overall high school prospect by ESPN, Hatcher has been bothered by a knee injury this season but has three interceptions, including one he returned for a touchdown in Friday's loss to Palm Beach Gardens.
