Pat Robertson's Shocking Advice On Alzheimers and Divorce

I really expect some major craw fishing and "clarifications" from him on this tomorrow.

I think some of this is old age.

This is SICK! Durn it makes me mad. I just spent thirty minutes on the phone with my mother, dealing with yet another aspect of Alzheimer's. To say that a person with the disease is dead all ready is just plain - strange. Granted, at the end, that could be true, but not in the early stages. It is a wild and crazy adventure, but the person is not "dead".

I don't get this opting out of responsibility thing. It's a heck of a lot cheaper to dump a person in a nursing home and forget them, who cares about dignity? Right now I'm agonizing over the fact that we're going to be needing around $125,000 a year to keep my father at home. We have the facility for it. I have some trustworthy mid-stage people to come in and help the parents. I need long-term care-givers I can trust.

You can go around saying that person is dead already or give them some dignity. My mother has been agonizing all day that my sister and I would put our father in a nursing home if something happened to her. I told her that is not the case, which is true. I did tell her though, there is the possibility of violence. If this happens, she comes first and I can be cold-blooded about it.

I have a friend who discovered his father brutalizing his mother, trying to kill her. I told my mother this is something I will not allow. Other than that, we're cool.

I SO SO SO agree.

I mean Catholic and Evenglecial prolifers were LIVID yesterday

To be honest I think he is losing it which makes me feel sorry for him. I am not sure he would say this a few years ago.

I got to think at CBN there might be a effort to kindly replace him or have him name a sucessor.
