The One Benefit of the Health Care Bill Passage- The War On Terror

Well in my view there is one benefit. That is the war on terror.

On Foreign Policy I am giving Obama a d D- if not a F.

On Trade- F
On Relations with Israel and related matters- F
On Eastern Europe and Russia- F
On Relations with India- C
On the numerous problems with China- F
On keeping Iran from getting the Bomb well F
On Relations with latin America-C


However what is keeping him the D range and maybe I feel good about it C- , is the War On Terror.

Obama has largely kept much of the common sense National Security Bush actions in this regard
I think on Iraq he has been fair
I agree with Obama on what he is doing in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
I like what he is doing with predator drones.

We so forget that these issues were hot!! when Bush was President but largely the intense nature of it has faded.

Giving his liberal base the biggest thing they want will give him considerable room to be flexible on the war on terror and in the above described theatres. It even gets better for Obama because anticipated gains by the GOP helps him in this regard. He will finnally find that eleusive bi partisanship.

I expect in order to mitigate the sheer unpopular nature of some his domestic polices that Obama will continue to focus more and more on the above areas and to make sure thereis American success.
