Inside Catholic has a great must read piece Franciscan University Students Attend a Catholics for Obama Event . It was quite a event. W elearn among other things:
After the talk, the sister opened it up to questions. At this point it became evident that at least half of the attendees to this event were pro-life McCain supporters. One priest encouraged people in the audience to turn in their priests to the IRS if they encourage parishioners to vote pro-life, or if they mention that abortion is an intrinsic evil; but they do not mention all of the other intrinsic evils.
Wow. First the Obama campaign threatens legal action against tv stations that runs NRA ads, then we have these "truth Squads in Missouri" headed up by Obama supporters that are in Law Enforcement and are District Attorneys that hint at Legal action if you say something "misleading" about Obama, and now we have a Priest from Holy Mother Church urging Catholics to "turn in" to the IRS his fellow priesst if he tells them to vote PRO-LIFE!!! If this is Hope and Change I will take a pass.
We also learned that Catholics for Obama believe that " “We have lost the abortion battle, and I believe we have lost it completely.” so who cares vote for Obama!!!
Unreal.

I think we should've turn these folks in the first place. They have no right to turn in their fellow priests to the IRS. They are break statue by publically professing they support Barack Obama, and making sure to quite those other priests who believe in voting with a clear conscience!
