Time for the Louisiana Catholic "Daily" blog update. Yes I know I missed doing yesterday's update.
First I am very very exciting that Full Circle seems to be back blogging after his Hurricane recuperation. My freinds in the financial sector and those that rely on credit for their business are scared out of their minds.

Well, I guess I was wrong. USC AIN'T the #1 TEAM!!
That's great news. I didn't catch the whole game - just parts of the first half. But, boy, they really didn't look like #1.
LSU's defense would have eaten Sanchez up.
Now, should we root for Georgia or Alabama? Or does it really matter?

I need to look at the SEC tie breaker rules for the WEST again.
In my mind the goal is to the SEC Championship. Bama is very good and it lookls like that game we play against them at home could decide who goes. In other words there is a good chance we shall be both undefeated in the SEC west (auburn, Ole miss, Arkansas, Auburn ,Bama, Miss State Division).
I am going to research this tonight and post on this tomorrow but I think we want a Georgia win to give us some insurance
THese are the rules
A. TWO-TEAM TIE
Head-to-head competition between the two tied teams.
Records of the tied teams within the division.
Head-to-head competition vs. the team within the division with the best overall record (divisional and non-divisional) Conference record and proceeding through the division. Multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last.
Overall record vs. all common non-divisional opponents.
Combined record vs. all common non-divisional teams.
Record vs. common non-divisional team with the best overall
Conference (divisional and non-divisional) record and proceeding through other common non-divisional teams based on their order of finish within their division.
The tied team with the highest ranking in the Bowl Championship Series Standings following the last weekend of regular-season games shall be the divisional representative in the SEC Championship Game.
B. THREE (OR MORE) TEAM TIE
(Once the tie has been reduced to two teams, go to the two-team tie-breaker format.)
Combined head-to-head record among the tied teams.
Record of the tied teams within the division.
Head-to-head competition vs. the team within the division with the best overall (divisional and non-divisional) Conference record and proceeding through the division. Multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last.
Overall record vs. non-division teams.
Combined record vs. all common non-divisional teams.
Record vs. common non-divisional team with the best overall Conference (divisional and non-divisional) record and proceeding through other common non-divisional teams based on their order of finish within their division.
The tied team with the highest ranking in the Bowl Championship Series Standings following the last weekend of regular-season games shall be the divisional representative in the SEC Championship Game, unless the second of the tied teams is ranked within five-or-fewer places of the highest ranked tied team. In this case, the head-to-head results of the top two ranked tied teams shall determine the representative in the SEC Championship Game.

Of course, if 'Bama wins, then LSU could move up to third.
(I don't think TCU will beat OK; nor will Ole Miss beat FLA).
That would put LSU in striking distance.
