Before we start regular business let me get this out of my system as to Sports. Every year I say the same things and they always seems to come to fruition.
The major rule is that EVERY first game is dangerous. I was not shocked that Michigan got beat by App. State. I was not shocked that South Carolina had trouble with ULL or that Texas had a real difficult time with Ark State. This stuff happens. That is why I am always for a easy game to work out the kinks. Why not? IN high school they have preseason games that don't count. Pro Football has 4 preseason games. In college every game counts and you don't have the advantage of non counting preseason games.
Thoughts on LSU. Good solid win over Miss State. I have no idea why some fans are complaining. I was pumped and then read my football board. LSU fans are so delusional at times. I have seen us play sloppy against ULM the first game. I started this thread-This Looks Like the Mississippi State Board - Friday morning when I had about 20 minutes to get on a computer. As I predicted a lot of Top Tier teams were working out the kinks this weekend.
Thoughts on Louisiana Tech- Good win over Central Arkansas University. I know it is a double AA school but we again we needed to work out the kinks. There has to be a lot more improvement this week to play good well with Hawaii. Hawaii and Colt Brennan were just hot Saturday night. BY the way. ESPN2 should play every Hawaii home game for us football nuts. Why not. It starts at 12 15 central usually. I went to the Tech game this weekend and really looking forward to going out and watching them play Hawaii this weekend.
Teams that had Significant Quality Wins
Wisconsin- Real significant win against quality opponent. I bet they are just loving the season ahead.
Cal is for real
Tenn is alright shape. First game in a hostile environment
Auburn had a tough time but I expect them too look much better.
Virgina Tech will be much tougher at Tiger stadium next week.
Notre Dame is in serious trouble.
I was really surprised that UAB just got slaughtered by Michigan State that bad.
More Football later this week

My daughter Mary just started back in football training. She's very talented at age 13 for the women's team..
I am so excited after our start. My only concern was our quarterback and he more than proved his workth. Our defense was a little rust, but that was to be expected especially since it was the first game of the season. With Michigan's lose Wisconsin is in the perfect position to win the Big Ten.
Congratulations on LSU, I watched the game. You guys dominated throughout.
Since I am more of a passive observer than a HUGE LSU fan I will step out and say I expect LSU will crush Virginia Tech.
On Louisiana Tech ... well, I expect this year to be a rebuilding year. I just want to see progress by seasons end and am hoping for a surprise bowl bid. I don't expect that this season ... within the next two? YES!
Jackie that is great. I did not realize that American style football was so big there that they had teams for kids. I was very upset that it appears that NFL Europe might fold

Wisconsin Rocked. I expect them to win the Big Ten
